     Illusion II is a center cockpit ketch DESIGNED by BRUCE ROBERTS , built in Cape Town, South Africa by Steve Barber, completed in 1980. Roger Perkins owned her since 1980, and is presently the sole owner. There are no leans or mortgages.

CONSTRUCTION:                             

• Hull & Deck- Fiberglass C-Flex core foam sandwich double skin. Treadmaster on deck.
• Full keel with  9 tons ballast.
• Water-tight bulkheads in sail locker and lazarette.
• Yacht never has been damaged or grounded.    
• Feathering

ENGINES:  Perkins 4236 80 hp. 1981

• Under cockpit, access doors on port and starboard. Full access.       
• Borge-Warner Velvet Drive gear box
• Engine RPM:2,500 cruising speed 7 knots at 1,800rpm
• Diesel 2gal./hr.
• 45mm shaft, all easy acces to glands

TANK CAPACITIES:

• Fuel: 250 gals in 3 linked fiberglass tanks 
• Water: 400 gals. in 4 linked fiberglass tanks under saloon floor.
• Holding tanks: 75 gal figerglass, presently not in use

• Main-650sq.ft. 10oz. battenless. Doyle good condition.
• Mizzen-350sq.ft., 9oz., battens, Hood, fair condition.
• Jib-625sq.ft. 9oz. brass hank-on, needs replacing soon.
• Working Jib-350sq.ft. 10oz., brass hank-on, 1 yr.new, Doyle.
• MPS-1200sq.ft., 2.5oz., Doyle, excellent. Blue and white (not sail on picture)
• Staysail- Club footed with aluminum boom, 250sq.ft., Hood, old but in good condition as it is seldom used.
